This Single Cask Release is a 9 year old from 2007, ex-Bourbon cask 42. An outturn of 246 bottles. Anthony Wills founded Kilchoman in 2005; it is the only farm distillery on Islay.
The distillery follows its barley from field to bottle on the one Islay farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over nine years, the wood frames the peated spirit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 56.2%. The cask gives vanilla and citrus, and peat phenols carry the smoke through. An early-vintage single cask.
