Description
This Single Cask Release is a 7 year old from 2007, ex-Bourbon cask 214. An outturn of 228 bottles for Switzerland. Kilchoman, the island's only farm distillery, was founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.
Kilchoman malts its barley on site and bottles on the farm, a barley to bottle approach rare in Scotch. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over seven years, the wood frames the peated spirit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 59.8%. Citrus and vanilla rise from the ex-Bourbon cask while peat phenols bring the smoke. An early-vintage single cask for Switzerland.
