Kilchoman Single Cask for World of Whisky Switzerland 5 Years Old 2009

This Single Cask was bottled for World of Whisky Switzerland, a 5 year old from 2009 matured in Oloroso, cask 24. Kilchoman is Islay's only farm distillery, the first new distillery on the island in over 124 years when Anthony Wills founded it in 2005.

The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm. Matured in a single Oloroso cask, the sherry wood pulls the young peated spirit towards dark fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.9%. The Oloroso gives dried fruit, melanoidins reading as fig and raisin, while peat phenols carry the smoke. A young sherried single cask for Switzerland.
