Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength 58.3%

This Cask Strength Machir Bay is the flagship bottled undiluted from ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks. Founded by Anthony Wills in 2005 at Rockside Farm, Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay.

The distillery malts on site and bottles on the farm, keeping the whole process in one place. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks at full strength, the bourbon gives the base and the sherry a darker edge.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.3%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Oloroso a touch of dried fruit, with peat phenols carrying the smoke. The recorded notes run to citrus, a medicinal edge, fresh oak, smoke and vanilla. The flagship at full strength.
