La Maison du Whisky, the Paris house, bottled this 5 year old 2007 Kilchoman from ex-Bourbon cask 292. A young single cask for France. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, is the only farm distillery on Islay.
The distillery follows its barley from field to bottle on the one Islay farm. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the wood frames the young peated spirit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 60.6%. Citrus and vanilla from the ex-Bourbon meet a strong peat-phenol smoke. A young farm single cask from a French specialist.
