Kilchoman 100% Islay PX Sherry Cask 5 Years Old 2015

This 100% Islay PX Sherry Cask is a five year old from 2015, made entirely from Kilchoman's own Islay barley and matured in sherry wood. The 100% Islay range is the distillery's founding philosophy, grown and made on the one farm. An outturn of 276 bottles.

Grown, malted, distilled and bottled at Rockside Farm, a barley to bottle whisky. The own-grown barley is lightly peated and matured in sherry casks.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.8%. The sherry wood gives sweet dried fruit, melanoidins reading as raisin and date, while gentle peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to dried fruit, fresh fruit, a sherried character and smoke. A sweet sherried farm single cask.
