Kanosuke Double Distillery

Kanosuke Double Distillery is a no age statement blend bottled at cask strength from Kanosuke, a coastal Kagoshima distillery opened in 2017 by shochu producer Komasa. The Double Distillery name reflects the pairing of Kanosuke's triple pot still operation with a second distillation philosophy, and the expression is bottled at 53% without dilution.

Matured in Ex-Bourbon casks, the liquid shows the fresh, fruit-forward character the distillery has become known for: light hay and fresh tropical fruit alongside vanilla and honey from the bourbon wood. Kanosuke's proximity to the Kagoshima coast and the influence of shochu-mellowed oak in the broader programme give the spirit its characteristic softness, and the cask strength bottling preserves the full texture of that profile.
