Croftengea 2009 (Alba Import)

Alba Import, a German independent, bottles this Croftengea in its Alba Trail series. A heavily peated Loch Lomond malt, a 12 year old from 2009.

Twelve years in ex-Bourbon round the peat, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla beneath the smoke.

At 46% the wood smoke runs over the malt, guaiacol and tarry phenols behind the reek. A peated Croftengea.
