Description
Whisky-Doris, the German house run by Doris Wuddel, bottles this Croftengea in its Art Nouveau series. A heavily peated Loch Lomond malt, a 16 year old from 2004, cask 1105, a tiny outturn of 120 bottles.
Sixteen years in ex-Bourbon soften the peat, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla beneath the smoke.
At 52.9% the wood smoke runs over the malt, guaiacol leading the smoky reek. A peated Croftengea.
