From Whiskymax's Spirit & Cask Range, this Croftengea is a heavily peated Loch Lomond malt, a 10 year old from 2007, cask 203, a sibling to the other heavily peated bottling.
Ten years in ex-Bourbon keep the spirit's grip, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla beneath the peat.
At 58.5% the wood smoke is vigorous over the malt, guaiacol and phenols driving the reek. A heavily peated Croftengea.
