Edition Spirits bottles this Croftengea in its First Editions range, a heavily peated malt from Loch Lomond, a 16 year old from 2005, cask HL 18246.
Sixteen years in ex-Bourbon soften the peat, the low-tannin oak giving vanilla below the reek.
At 54.6% the wood smoke runs over the malt, phenols and guaiacol driving the reek. A peated First Editions Croftengea.
