Chichibu Single Cask #1651 12 Years Old 2006 (Ex-Bourbon)

Chichibu Single Cask 1651, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2018, is a 12 Years Old single malt from Venture Whisky's Chichibu distillery in Saitama. Released only for the Japanese market, it was drawn from a single Ex-Bourbon cask at 53.4% cask strength, without dilution or blending, giving each bottle a character tied directly to that one vessel.

Twelve years in a single Ex-Bourbon barrel at Chichibu develops the distillery's typical fruit-forward character over a longer arc than most of its releases, with the American oak contributing vanilla, coconut and caramel alongside richer stone-fruit and dried-fruit notes that accumulate with extended contact. The undiluted cask-strength presentation preserves every nuance of what that specific barrel produced through over a decade of Saitama ageing.
