Baumann BergFeuer Likör

Baumann BergFeuer Likör is made by Tiroler Kräuterdestillerie Baumann, an Austrian herb distillery in the Tyrol that has produced regional spirit specialities for over a hundred years. The house draws on Tyrolean mountain spring water, sun ripened fruit and hand picked plants, with herbs, seeds and berries gathered by mountain farmers forming the base of its distillates, and the full recipe kept private. This bottling shines in an intense red colour and combines local and exotic red fruit on a herbal frame, bottled at a strong 50% ABV.

The nose is fruity with ripe red fruit, the palate intense and fruity across local and exotic red berries, and the finish long, unfolding a clear fire in the glass with a strong, hot character. Underneath sits a herbal spine of mint, anise, wormwood and gentian. Behind the bar it brings colour, fruit sweetness and real heat, so it suits a chilled shot, a fruit forward herbal sour, or a warming spike in mulled drinks where the red fruit and herb edge balance the sugar. Serve it cold to settle the strength and brighten the fruit.
