Description
Pasote Añejo is a 100% Blue Weber añejo carrying NOM 1584, produced at Tequila El Tepozan in San Julián, Jalisco. This release marks a move to a new distillery and a new bottle design for the line, with a noticeably different character from the earlier bottlings, drawing on the highland agave of Los Altos.
The long maturation tempers the roasted agave at the spirit's core, drawing out layers of barrel sweetness. The nose blends roasted agave with vanilla, caramel and smoked nuts, while the palate is rich and velvety, the cask time bringing caramel, dried fruit and coffee into a finely shaded whole. The finish is long and deep, sweet and toasty, with a generous mouthfeel that lingers, bottled at 40%.
