Description
Mayaciel is a modern blanco built by two friends with a single line in mind, a 100% Blue Weber tequila made from agave harvested at six to eight years of maturity. It leans on natural airborne yeast for fermentation and clear spring water filtered through volcanic rock, and it is bottled at a high 45% to keep the agave aromatics front and centre.
The higher proof gives the spirit intensity without harshness, the alcohol well integrated into a fresh, fruity profile. Lime and vanilla lead, with discreet pepper notes and the cooked character of Agave tequilana showing clearly underneath. It is an unaged, agave forward blanco that drinks cleanly neat and stands up well in a Paloma or a long drink, the strength working in its favour.
