Vanilla, caramel and cooked agave fold into tropical fruit and a soft cask spice in this reposado, rested about six months in former Caribbean rum casks rather than the usual bourbon wood for a silkier, rounder feel.

Description
Mayaciel Reposado Generation Next is a 100% Blue Weber tequila finished in an unusual way. Made by hand in a limited release from mature agave aged between six and eight years, it is rested for roughly six months not in the customary American bourbon barrels but in former rum casks from the Caribbean, which is where its silky, rounded texture comes from.
Fermentation relies on wild airborne yeast and clear spring water filtered through volcanic rock, and the spirit is bottled at 43%. The cask choice colours the whole profile, cooked agave meeting a gentle sweetness of vanilla and caramel, then tropical fruit and a discreet cask spice that the rum wood lends. The finish is soft and lingering. A reposado for drinkers who want the agave intact but dressed in something warmer and more exotic than standard oak.
