Description
José Cuervo 1800 Blanco is the unaged expression of the 1800 line, a 100% agave tequila produced at La Rojeña in the town of Tequila, the oldest active distillery in the category and home of the Beckmann family's Cuervo house. The Blanco sits a tier above the everyday Cuervo Especial mixto, made entirely from Blue Weber agave.
Where most blancos go straight from still to bottle, this one takes an unusual fifteen day rest in French and American oak before bottling at 38%, just enough wood contact to round the edges without turning it amber. The result is a clean, approachable Blanco built for mixing as much as sipping, with cooked agave at the core, gentle peppery spice and a touch of soft citrus carrying a long, mellow finish.
