Distilled in Rome by the Antica Distilleria Quaglia for the Del Professore team, it deliberately rounds off the dry-gin edges in favour of something smoother. The finish lingers, herbal and elegant.

Description

Monsieur is the flagship of Del Professore, a Roman project devoted to reviving historical recipes with the Antica Distilleria Quaglia. The 2024 release leans into the house philosophy: rather than chase the angular bite of a London Dry, it coaxes the botanicals towards roundness and balance. Dominant juniper meets coriander, citrus peel, lavender and a handful of Mediterranean herbs, all built up in small batches so each bottling holds its character.

The nose is intensely juniper-led, lifted by fresh citrus, floral hints and fine herbs. The palate is full-bodied and harmonious, juniper in front with coriander, lavender and a subtle savoury spice trailing behind, closing on an elegant, lingering herbal freshness. Stir it into a classic Martini, or lengthen it with premium tonic and a twist of citrus peel.
