Del Professore Gin Crocodile

Crocodile is the assertive bottling in the Del Professore range, made in Piedmont with the historic Antica Distilleria Quaglia. Where the brand's Monsieur gin plays it soft, this one bares its teeth, a London Dry style built around dominant juniper and bottled at a confident 45%, with a clear Mediterranean signature in the citrus and herbs that surround it.

The gin is crystal clear and brilliant in the glass. The nose is intense juniper, lifted by citrus freshness and spicy herbal notes. The palate is dry and powerful, juniper firmly in command with citrus accents and a fine spicy structure, and the finish is long, spicy and elegant with that pine-clean juniper still ringing. Pour it with a neutral tonic to let the juniper lead, or build it into a properly dry Martini.
