Del Professore Gin À La Madame Impossible to Imitate

    700 ml / 42.9%
    New Western

    $66

Lavender and chamomile drift over juniper, with vanilla softening the edges and orange peel keeping it bright. Made in small unfiltered batches at a long-established Piedmont distillery, it wears a natural golden haze. Floral, gently sweet and warmly spiced, it lingers in balsamic, herbal depth.

Del Professore Gin a la Madame comes from Antica Distilleria Quaglia, a Piedmont house with a long tradition behind the wider Del Professore range. The nickname points to its soft, floral character: a grain spirit macerated with juniper, cinnamon, vanilla, mugwort, citrus, chamomile, lavender and other Mediterranean herbs. Made in small batches without industrial filtration, it keeps a golden, slightly cloudy colour and an unmistakable depth.

The nose is floral and spicy, lavender and chamomile over juniper, orange zest and vanilla. The palate is complex and smooth, floral notes and gentle sweetness laced with herbs, spice and subtle citrus, leading to a long, warm finish of balsamic spice and a light herbal note. Sip it neat or over ice as an aperitif, or shake it into a gin sour with lavender syrup.
