Chichibu 8 Years Old 2012 Cask #2341 (LMDW)

Chichibu is the craft flagship of Venture Whisky, founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto in the Saitama hills north of Tokyo. Built on small stocks, a wide cask programme and a vibrant fruit-forward new make, it became one of the most sought-after single malts of the modern Japanese whisky boom. This single cask was selected by La Maison du Whisky for an event bottling and was not available through ordinary retail channels.

Eight years in an Ex-Bourbon barrel gave the spirit the classic Chichibu framework: gentle vanilla, fresh orchard fruit and soft cereal sweetness from American oak. Bottled without dilution at 62.4%, the cask-strength delivery amplifies everything, bringing forward the distillery's characteristic brightness and leaving a long, clean finish that reflects Ichiro Akuto's preference for precise, expressive spirit over heavy wood influence.
