Clément Six Ans D‘Âge 1980s

Clement Six Ans D'Age is an old Martinique rhum agricole from the 1980s, distilled at Distillerie du Simon and carried under the Clement name, a 300-year estate long central to aged Martinique rum. At six years of tropical ageing it qualifies as a vieux, and the high angel's share at origin lends maturity beyond the stated age.

Distilled from fresh sugar cane juice rather than molasses and matured in ex-bourbon oak, an aged Clement of this kind typically shows a grassy agricole core layered with vanilla, baking spice, toasted oak and a little leather, drier and more spice forward than sweet molasses rum. Unsweetened and bottled at 44%.
