Description
Clément, the long-established GBH-owned Martinique estate, draws this single batch entirely from Canne Bleue, a single cane variety, and distills it at Distillerie du Simon on a creole column. Made from fresh-pressed cane juice and bottled unsweetened at 46.5% in keeping with the island AOC, it is a focused, single-cane expression.
Aged in ex-bourbon oak, it noses on baking spices, cardamom, vanilla and a cream toffee sweetness, an inviting, spice led aromatic. The palate follows with baking spice and vanilla but shows a warmer, sharper, slightly hot edge, and the finish runs on burnt, spice driven notes with a lick of allspice.
