Description

Gordon & MacPhail, the Elgin house founded in 1895, held some of the deepest Longmorn stocks of any bottler. The Distillery Labels series revives G&M's old label art; this 15 Year Old is a 2003 vintage in ex-Bourbon.

Fifteen years in ex-Bourbon framed the Longmorn make, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla and a light toffee.

At 43% it shows a coal-gas mineral edge, a malty note, vanilla, chocolate, fresh fruit and a leafy lift over Longmorn's body. A Distillery Labels 15.
