Description

The Elgin house of Gordon & MacPhail, trading since 1895, held unrivalled Longmorn stocks. This Connoisseurs Choice 31 Year Old is a 1990 vintage from ex-Bourbon cask 30007, a tiny outturn of just 53 bottles, sibling to cask 30006.

Thirty-one years in ex-Bourbon matured the rich spirit, the cask giving vanilla and a faint coconut through its oak lactones, the angel's share easing the strength.

At 44.1% it shows mature ripe orchard fruit and vanilla over Longmorn's richness, undiluted. A 1990 Connoisseurs Choice.
