Description

Gordon & MacPhail, the Elgin house founded in 1895, held some of the deepest Longmorn stocks of any bottler. This Private Collection 46 Year Old is a 1964 vintage from Oloroso cask 1534, an outturn of 164 bottles at cask strength.

Forty-six years in Oloroso wrapped the rich spirit in deep sherry, the cask's melanoidins giving date and raisin.

At 51.9% it shows profound sherried dried fruit over Longmorn's worn richness, undiluted. A 1964 Private Collection.
