Single malt Tobermory, selected and bottled by C. Dully Selection matured to 24 year old from 1994, drawn from cask 10942 and bottled at 49.8%. Only 78 bottles were released. Tobermory, the unpeated malt of the Isle of Mull, comes from one of Scotland's oldest distilleries. It is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries, and the only one on its island.

It was run through the distillery's boil ball stills, to build a nutty, waxy, fruity character. Ex-Sherry wood added a dried fruit richness to the oily make. Long ageing brings a deeper waxy, fruity character and a mellow oak. The unpeated make leans on the cask, the wood adding much of the colour and flavour. Tobermory has distilled in the island's harbour town since 1798. The town of Tobermory was laid out by the British Fisheries Society a decade before the distillery came. The distillery's history is broken by long silences; its buildings once stored a local cheddar.

Bottled at a cask strength 49.8%, it is intense. A waxy, oily fruitiness, and the Oloroso gives dried fruit and a toasted nuttiness. Beneath it run orchard fruit, wax and a soft nut. It finishes fruity, oily and warming. This is the waxy, fruity malt of Mull.
