Description

From Signatory Vintage, one of Scotland's largest independent bottlers, this 15 Year Old is a 2007 from cask 8, an outturn of 699 bottles. Mortlach, long the muscular heart of the Johnnie Walker blends, draws its meaty depth from low-copper worm tubs and a 2.81-times distillation regime.

By fifteen years the meaty spirit had turned rich and oxidative in the Oloroso, raisin, walnut, chocolate and a struck-match savour.

At 51.8% it shows a savoury, struck-match note, undiluted. A meaty, muscular Mortlach.
