Description

Signatory Vintage, one of Scotland's largest independent bottlers, selected this 10 Year Old. Mortlach, long the muscular heart of the Johnnie Walker blends, draws its meaty depth from low-copper worm tubs and a 2.81-times distillation regime.

Across ten years in American oak, esterification got underway and the meaty spirit rounded, vanilla and light toffee folding in.

At 43% it shows vanilla, cooked fruit and a savoury weight over the full-bodied base. A Beast of Dufftown.
