Description

This bottling is a distillery bottling of Mortlach. An outturn of 3,000 bottles. Mortlach, the first licensed distillery in Dufftown, runs a 2.81-times distillation and worm-tub condensers that give the heavy, meaty spirit fans call the Beast of Dufftown.

Ex-Bourbon maturation framed Mortlach's weighty make, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla over the savoury core as oxidation slowly began.

At 48% it shows citrus, a savoury, struck-match note, honey, fresh oak and vanilla, undiluted. A Beast of Dufftown.
