Description

This 19 Year Old is a distillery bottling of Mortlach. It draws on a 1999 vintage. Mortlach, the Beast of Dufftown, condenses its spirit in worm tubs and part-triple-distils through the tiny Wee Witchie still, building weight and a savoury, sulphury core.

Across nineteen years the oak's ellagitannins added structure while oxidation deepened the meaty spirit into cooked fruit and leather.

At 55.5% it shows malt, dried fruit and a leathery edge framed by the dense Dufftown spirit, undiluted. Mortlach at full weight.
