This 15 Year Old is a distillery bottling of Mortlach. Mortlach, owned by John Walker & Sons from 1923, makes a dense, sulphury Speyside through worm tubs and its singular 2.81-times distillation.

Fifteen years in ex-Bourbon let oxidation gain weight, baked fruit and a waxy, oily depth building over the dense Mortlach spirit.

At 46% it shows fresh fruit, fresh oak, vanilla, honey, citrus and leather. A Beast of Dufftown.
