Description

The Fallow Edition is the deepest of Lochlea's seasonal Crop series, named for the resting field and matured entirely in first-fill Oloroso butts. This First Crop is an outturn of 9,000 bottles.

First-fill Oloroso gives generously, its melanoidins lending fig and raisin and its tannins a polished, dry grip over the distillery's own barley.

At 46% it shows a sherried character, vanilla, a malty note and a cooked, yeasty depth, deep and warming. The First Crop Fallow.
