The Red Wine Cask is part of Lochlea's Single Estate range, the distillery's own-barley spirit finished in a red wine cask alongside ex-Bourbon.
The red-wine cask lends berry fruit through its residual wine and a fine, drying tannin, set against the bourbon-matured spirit's vanilla.
At 46% it shows red-wine berry fruit and a drying edge over the distillery's clean barley and vanilla. A Single Estate release.
