Lochlea Smoke Without Fire

Smoke Without Fire is part of Lochlea's Single Estate range, a gently smoky expression of the distillery's own-barley spirit, with a red-wine cask adding fruit. The name plays on its restrained, smouldering smoke.

A measure of peated spirit lends a gentle smoke, guaiacol and phenols carrying a light reek, while the red-wine cask adds berry fruit and the bourbon vanilla.

At 46% it shows a light wood smoke and red-wine berry over the distillery's clean barley, restrained and balanced. A Single Estate release.
