Bottled undiluted at 49%, the American oak adds vanilla over the orchard fruit. Buttery vanilla and orchard fruit, classic Littlemill. Decades of slow oxidation turned the spirit's aldehydes to acids and then to fruity esters, the ex-Bourbon adding vanilla beneath. At this age the angel's share has done its quiet work: in humid Scottish warehouses alcohol leaves faster than water, easing the strength and concentrating the flavour.
