Description
Stewart Laing founded Hunter Laing in 2013 with his sons, the name drawn from his own middle name. Distilled in 1991, this 21 year old Littlemill, from cask HL 9822 was bottled in 2013, part of The Old Malt Cask series. The stocks are finite and dwindling, a closed distillery's legacy measured out cask by cask.
Twenty-one years in ex-Bourbon lend a light oak frame to the light, clean Littlemill make.
Bottled at cask strength, 50%, the ex-Bourbon lends vanilla and a creamy oak note. Soft fruit, hay and honey over a creamy base. The oak's vanillin and wood sugars lend vanilla and light toffee, the spirit's own esters bringing the fruit.
