Littlemill 25 Years Old 1988 Cask #12 (Archives)

Archives is the single-cask label of Whiskybase, the online database beloved of collectors. This bottling is a 25 year old Littlemill, from cask 12, laid down in 1988 and drawn off in 2014, in the Voyage dans l'Amérique Méridionale range. As the last casks are bottled, Littlemill grows scarcer with every release.

Matured in ex-Bourbon, twenty-five years carry the creamy, vanilla-rich spirit.

At its natural 51.9%, light vanilla and coconut from the American oak. It carries honey. Long oxidation coaxes fruity esters from the spirit, the ex-Bourbon's vanillin and lactones adding vanilla and coconut. Great age in a dunnage warehouse means the angel's share has taken much of the cask and gently lowered the strength, concentrating what remains.
