Knockdhu 11 Years Old 2013 Cask #45 (Valinch & Mallet)

Valinch & Mallet bottled this 11 year old 2013 Knockdhu for The Young Masters Edition from Oloroso cask 45, an outturn of 339 bottles. The distillery in the Banffshire countryside sells its malt as anCnoc; bottlers like this use the Knockdhu name.

The granite distillery returned to work in 1989. Matured in a single Oloroso cask over eleven years, the sherry wood pulls the malt towards dried fruit.

Bottled undiluted at 52.9%. The Oloroso gives dried fruit, melanoidins reading as fig and raisin, with a walnut dryness over the fresh malt. A sherried independent single cask.
