Xaoma Silver Premium Vodka

Xaoma Silver comes from Kazakhstan, distilled by a producer rooted in the Kokshetau region and named after Haoma, the magic potion of the Iranian nomadic peoples who once roamed the Great Steppe. The base is Alpha-grade durum wheat alcohol, the top purity classification, with the wheat grown in the fertile north of the country and cut with crystal-clear spring water. Wheat gives the soft, rounded body, and a small addition of natural cherry extract lends a subtle fruit depth. An eight-stage filtration then smooths the spirit, combining modern and traditional methods to remove rough notes before bottling at 40%.

The nose carries herbs and rye biscuit notes. The palate is mild and cereal-led, with a muesli-like grain character, leading to a long finish. With its soft body and savoury, biscuity grain, it is at its best poured straight from the freezer into a shot-sized glass and served alongside food, in the steppe tradition: try it ice-cold with cured fish or dark rye bread, where the chill tightens the texture and the bread echoes its cereal character.
