Description
Tierra Noble Anejo is a 100% Blue Weber tequila from Jalisco, made by the Herrera brothers at La Estacada in Mazamitla, the highest tequila distillery in the country. As an anejo it spends up to three years in oak, here a combination of American oak and French white oak that gives the deep amber spirit its pronounced wood tone and its long standing reputation as the gentleman of the Tierra Noble range. The agave is blended from the lowland Valle de Tequila and the Los Altos highlands.
The agave is autoclave cooked, fermented for up to eight days with a wine yeast strain and a second fermentation, then twice distilled in copper pot stills. The nose is rich and complex with wood, dried fruit, vanilla and a light hint of chocolate. The palate is creamy and silky with a sweet balance and subtle dried fruit. Bottled at 40% and sealed with wax, it sits firmly in the aged camp where oak and agave move together.
