Description
Tierra Noble Reposado is a 100% Blue Weber tequila from Jalisco, produced by the Herrera brothers at La Estacada in Mazamitla, the highest tequila distillery in Mexico. Like the rest of the line it blends lowland Valle de Tequila agave for aromatic complexity with Los Altos highland agave for sweeter, floral character, and as a reposado it rests at least two months in oak, here drawn from very old American oak casks that give it a bright golden colour.
The agave is autoclave cooked, fermented for up to eight days with a wine yeast strain followed by a second fermentation, then twice distilled in copper pot stills. The nose is rich and layered with wood, dried fruit, vanilla and a light touch of chocolate. The palate shows plum, toasted almond, vanilla and a gentle dulce de leche creaminess. Bottled at 40% and sealed with wax, it keeps the agave audible beneath a measured layer of oak.
