Description
The single malt in the Wild Geese range is all Cooley, double distilled unpeated malt from the Co. Louth distillery bottled at 43% under the banner of the Irish soldiers who scattered across Europe's armies. This bottling was released for the Dutch market without an age statement.
Ex-bourbon American oak maturation shapes a profile of fresh citrus, orchard fruit and honey over malt extract, with a faintly yeasty, bready note that gives it character beyond simple sweetness. Fuller than the range's blends, it shows what Cooley's Scottish style double distillation preserves, a firm cereal core under the fruit, and it finishes clean with lemon and vanilla.
