Mortlach 21 Years Old

Bottled by the distillery, this 21 Year Old is an official Mortlach. An outturn of 7,692 bottles. Mortlach is Speyside's great meaty malt, its 1823 Dufftown stillhouse using worm tubs and a 2.81 distillation that defies the region's lighter norm.

Twenty-one years across Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez loaded the dense Mortlach spirit with dried fruit, the sherries' melanoidins and residual sugars giving raisin, date, fig and chocolate.

At 56.9% it shows cooked fruit, a sherried depth, chocolate, fresh fruit, leather and malt extract, undiluted. A Beast of Dufftown.
