Mortlach 17 Years Old 2007 Cask #205 (Signatory Vintage)

Signatory Vintage, the Edinburgh independent founded in 1988, drew this 17 Year Old, a 2007 from cask 205, an outturn of 652 bottles. Mortlach, the first licensed distillery in Dufftown, runs a 2.81-times distillation and worm-tub condensers that give the heavy, meaty spirit fans call the Beast of Dufftown.

Across seventeen years the sherry's melanoidins and growing oxidation built dried fruit, nutmeg and leather into the muscular Dufftown spirit.

At 56.6% it shows chocolate, undiluted. A Beast of Dufftown.
