Mortlach 14 Years Old 2008 (Earlskine – Your Whisky Destination)

Earlskine - Your Whisky Destination, an independent bottler, selected this 14 Year Old: from a 2008 vintage, an outturn of 138 bottles. Mortlach's robust, umami-rich spirit is the work of worm-tub condensers and the Wee Witchie's triple pass, a regime in place at Dufftown since 1897.

By fourteen years the Oloroso had married the heavy, sulphury make, melanoidins lending dried fruit and chocolate to the savoury depth.

At 54.5% it shows fig, date, leather and dark chocolate on Mortlach's muscular frame, undiluted. A bold, sherried Mortlach.
