From Signatory Vintage, one of Scotland's largest independent bottlers, this 14 Year Old is a small parcel of casks, a 2008 vintage. The first legal distillery in Dufftown, Mortlach builds its meaty weight through low-copper worm tubs and the 2.81 distillation, and has anchored Johnnie Walker for a century.

By fourteen years the bourbon oak had knitted with the bold, full-bodied make, caramelised hemicellulose lending fudge alongside the savoury depth.

At 46% it shows citrus, fresh fruit, vanilla, a savoury, struck-match note and cooked fruit. A muscular Speyside malt.
