Mortlach 12 Years Old 2009 Cask #306339 (Signatory Vintage)

Signatory Vintage, one of Scotland's largest independent bottlers, bottles this 12 Year Old, a 2009 vintage from cask 306339, an outturn of 270 bottles. Mortlach is the Speyside outlier known as the Beast of Dufftown, its worm tubs and 2.81 distillation building a dense, sulphury, meaty spirit.

Across twelve years in American oak, esterification got underway and the meaty spirit rounded, vanilla and light toffee folding in.

At 56.6% it shows an oily texture, undiluted. The savoury Dufftown style.
