Mortlach 11 Years Old 2010 Cask #16 (Signatory Vintage)

From Signatory Vintage, one of Scotland's largest independent bottlers, this 11 Year Old is a 2010 from cask 16, an outturn of 697 bottles. Mortlach is the Speyside outlier known as the Beast of Dufftown, its worm tubs and 2.81 distillation building a dense, sulphury, meaty spirit.

Across eleven years the Oloroso butt loaded the heavy spirit with date, raisin and a nutty edge, weight and sherry meeting head on.

At 57.8% it shows raisin, walnut and a leathery, sherried richness on Mortlach's muscular frame, undiluted. A meaty, muscular Mortlach.
