Description

From the Vintage Malt Whisky Company's Cooper's Choice range, this young 6 Year Old comes from a 2009 ex-Bourbon cask, number 1439, an outturn of 305. Miltonduff, the floral Speyside distilled where Pluscarden Abbey's old meal mill once stood, long a heart of Ballantine's.

Six years in ex-Bourbon left Miltonduff's light spirit bright and forward, the charred layer filtering out immature notes while vanillin leached from the oak.

At 46% it shows fresh apple, pear and vanilla. A Cooper's Choice 6.
